All Terrain / Offroad wheel set suitable for Mercedes-Benz V Class, Vito, Marco Polo, Horizon, Activity - Delta 4x4 Hanma 17" / General Grabber AT3
With this wheel set, your Marco Polo will not only be an eye-catcher, but the vehicle will also be suitable for off-road use.
Slightly more tyres and fewer rims here than on our Delta 4x4 Classic B wheel set for the Marco Polo in 18".
With this wheel set, a lift must be installed, or the VB Airsuspension full air suspension for the Mercedes-Benz V Class, Vito, Marco Polo, Horizon, Activity in the plus 30mm version.
What needs to be done before fitting the wheels
The wheel arch, which is made of plastic, must be adapted (heated and moulded) at the front on the rear side, as the wheel grinds on the inside of the wheel arch when fully turned.
Once the wheels have been fitted, it is best to use a mounting pad and clamp it between the wheel and the plastic wheel housing. Heat the wheel housing with a hot air gun, then turn the wheel fully and inflate the cushion. Repeat the process as often as you can fit a finger between the wheel and the wheel arch.
Individual approval § 21 of the StVZO at TÜV / Dekra / GTÜ etc.
Your Marco Polo / Horizon / Activity / V Class must be individually approved by the TÜV, as the wheels are only supplied with a partial certificate in combination with a Terranger lift kit.
We have several individual approval certificates with original suspension kits that can be used as comparative certificates for individual approval on your vehicle. We will provide you with these by email after your purchase.
The individual approval of the wheels must then be carried out by a TÜV inspector. An individual approval is always the responsibility of the respective inspector.
A widening is therefore not necessarily required, nor is a speedometer adjustment. The speedometer only needs to be checked by the TÜV. We send a speedometer measurement of a V class after the purchase. We are within the limit value range here.
Advantages of the wheel / tyre combination compared to other AT wheels / tyres:
The General Grabber AT3 is no louder than an original 19" Mercedes-Benz wheel, fuel consumption does not increase noticeably and the driving characteristics, whether in wet or snowy conditions, are very good compared to other AT tyres. The driving characteristics in winter are very good. We didn't get nearly as far in the snow with Michelin winter tyres.
The V Max of the tyre is 240 Km/H.
The load index is 1000 KG.
In combination with the VB Airsuspension 4C chassis for Mercedes-Benz Marco Pole, a load capacity of 3500 kg is possible.
