Why is the locking mechanism broken?
There are three scenarios in which the locking mechanism breaks.
1. if you push the rear seat bench backwards and the rear seat bench crashes with full force against the boxes in the pull-out
2. if the locking mechanism is not installed correctly and the pull-out has play, which can also happen during shipping.
3. if the locking mechanism is not operated as described in point 13 of the installation instructions.
The locking mechanism has slotted holes and must be installed in such a way that the pull-out cannot move.
If necessary, the rubber-mounted stop points at the rear can also be bent so that the pull-out does not move a millimetre when locked.
The latches should sit directly on the drawer on both sides so that there is no room for the drawer to move.
When you have fitted the new locks, please check that the drawer does not move and has no play. If the drawer has play, move the catches on the drawer, this is what the slotted hole is for. Alternatively, bend the two rubber-buffered stops at the rear so that the pull-out is firmly seated and locked.
Please also make sure that everything that is transported in the pull-out is always stable or in boxes or bags that cannot slide under acceleration. The carpet supplied should also be used to prevent the boxes from sliding.
The solution with the latches has been deliberately chosen so as not to use visually unattractive and rattling craftsman hinges.
