Mobile and self-sufficient working in the Marco Polo office - LTE | WiFi - router and antenna for Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo, Activity, Horizon - incl. installation
LTE reception where mobile phones fail, WLAN one metre around the car, cloud synchronisation and backups as all devices are connected to the WLAN. Work autonomously with the best possible LTE reception. WLAN & SIP calls with poor network coverage.
Shipping is excluded.
The solar panels on the pop-up roof of the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo shown in the photos are not included in the scope of delivery of the LTE | WiFi router and have no influence on the router system, the solar system for the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo can be found here.
Self-sufficient LTE | WiFi system, compactly customised for your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo with pop-up roof, suitable for Marco Polos with electric pop-up roof or manual pop-up roof, with or without sliding roof.
With the router system consisting of Mimo LTE | WiFi router and MiMo LTE | WiFi roof antenna, you are self-sufficient when travelling, even with poor network coverage. Have LTE reception where mobile devices fail, regardless of whether you like to drive to campsites, motorhome pitches or stand free. Thanks to MiMo technology, incoming and outgoing data packets that arrive incorrectly are not put on hold but processed by the other receiver, thus ensuring the fastest possible connection.
The router solution for the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo sends you wireless LAN (WLAN) hundreds of metres around your vehicle, provided your Marco Polo is parked outdoors. We work with a Panorama Shark MiMo LTE | WiFi | GPS antenna and a Teltonika MiMo router, which means that WiFi data packets are used highly efficiently even with poor network coverage and the maximum reception performance is achieved.
Thanks to the high WiFi range, it is possible to make the WiFi available to several vehicles / people when camping.
Cloud backups, photos etc. are synchronised because you are constantly connected to the WLAN with your mobile devices. So there's no need to worry about losing data on holiday. In conjunction with our wireless charging in the pop-up roof, iCloud backups, for example, are created automatically (when the iPhone is in Wi-Fi and the device is charging).
The LTE | WiFi router for the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo is connected to the permanent power supply of the body battery, which allows you continuous operation while camping. If you use your Marco Polo as a car in everyday life, you can switch the router to ignition mode using a switch located next to the 12-volt socket in the rear area. This switch can also be used to switch off the router and antenna system completely; this mode is intended for sleeping in the vehicle.
The router is mounted at the rear right next to the tailgate in the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo under the panelling. If you remove the plastic part in which the 12 volt socket is located, you can easily access the router to change the SIM card or configure the router via LAN cable. The router is therefore concealed and your Marco Polo looks just as you are used to and the LTE | WiFi router does not waste any unnecessary space.
If desired, four Ethernet (LAN) cables can be connected to the router in the vehicle, so that the WiFi can be switched off and the radiation from the WiFi is eliminated.
The vehicle height is also not affected by the antenna system and you can continue to use your Marco Polo to access multi-storey and underground car parks. It is also possible to conveniently use car washes as before.
All functions of the LTE | WiFi router at a glance
- Internet / LTE / 4G / 3G / GSM reception where mobile devices drop out or have very slow connections
- Wireless LAN (WLAN) hundreds of metres around your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo
- WLAN & SIP calls in best voice quality
- Your own network always with you
- WLAN for several vehicles
- Cloud and backup synchronisation of the end devices as they are located in the WLAN
- Self-sufficient working possible thanks to direct VPN tunnel
- Router with 2 SIM card slots, allowing an additional data card to be used for non-roaming countries
- Dual SIM failover
- Reliable and secure 4G / LTE router with I / O, GNSS
- Router easily accessible to change SIM cards or configure the router
- Router can be set to continuous operation when camping. Also ignition mode for car use. In addition, a completely "powerless setting" can be selected for sleeping in the vehicle.
- The height of the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo is not increased. The roof aerial sits at the rear of the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo's pop-up roof, where the vehicle is at its lowest point, so there are no restrictions in the garage, underground car park or multi-storey car park.
- The use of car washes is not a problem with the external aerial on your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo.
- Roof racks, whether Thule, Westfalia or others, can still be mounted on your Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo pop-up roof.
- The roof antenna has a great inconspicuous look, so it is almost invisible around the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo, see photos.
- The cable connection from the antenna to the interior of the Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo is made via 1 hole in the pop-up roof. The cables are laid flexibly and visible from the bed, but do not interfere with sleeping or lowering the roof, see photos.
- The Teltonika router with Mimo technology used optimises the performance of the LTE.
- A smartphone app (Apple & Android) is used to query the performance and set the router, so no space is wasted in the Marco Polo for display monitors.
- The roof antenna does not generate any wind noise, even when travelling at speeds of up to 200 km/h.
- All components are assembled and tested by us.
- The router and roof antenna solution for Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo is only offered including installation by our workshop. Payment is made by EC card, when you collect your Marco Polo or with the payment method of your choice in the online shop.
- We need your vehicle for this installation within one working day.
We would like to point out that there may be places where the router will have no reception. Where there is no network, even the best router solution for your vehicle cannot receive anything.
